Feeling Fall Like

I've had fall on the brain since some time in August.
Who am I kidding. All year.
I couldn't wait for September and when September seemed to still feel like summer,
I was anxiously awaiting October.
We all know how fun October is and the temperature starts to change enough to actually
make fall feel likes it's here.
I decorated my porch and house for Halloween a little earlier than I should admit.
Mid September the totes came out and we made it feel like fall around here even if it was still close to 90 degrees outside.

My kids helped me drag everything out, (EVERYTHING OUT) and we got to work on making feel fall like and spooky.

Here are our spooktacular results.

I found to discounted wreaths (around $5 each) at different stores last fall.
I put them together with a little wire because they were boring on their own.
I tied a burlap ribbon to it and I now have a lovely fall wreath.

Halloween Mantle

I told my husband to save some of the old wood from the trim outside our home when he refinished it because I just knew I could find use for it someday. Well, I finally did.
I had him cut it down, nail it together and now I have a nice backdrop for my holiday wreaths.

I thought it would be fun to display the kids Halloween costumes from each year so I grabbed a few branches from the yard and spray painted them black. I then just tied their costumes pics on the branches. I can't wait to see it get filled up through the years.
